Outdoor Living Potential in Dakota County, MN

A Deck Builder That Knows the Dakota County Market

Dakota County is the third most populous county in Minnesota, covering cities like Eagan, Burnsville, Apple Valley, and Lakeville. That diverse mix of residential and commercial properties creates consistent demand for a deck builder with the range and experience to serve it well.

Natural Parks and the Mississippi River

Dakota County borders the Mississippi River and includes significant natural areas like the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Properties here sit close to some of the most impressive scenery in the metro, and a well-built deck turns that proximity into something enjoyed every day.

A County That Values Quality

Communities across Dakota County consistently rank among the most desirable in the Twin Cities, with residents and business owners who take pride in their properties. That environment is exactly where a skilled deck company does its best and most appreciated work.

Climate That Shapes Every Deck Construction Decision

Dakota County sees the full range of Minnesota weather, from active summers to winters with sustained cold and heavy snow. Every deck construction project here has to account for those conditions using materials and methods that hold up regardless of the season.

Fun Fact

Dakota County takes its name from the Dakota people, the Indigenous nation that inhabited this region for centuries before European settlement. The county was officially organized in 1849, the same year the Minnesota Territory was established, making it one of the original nine counties created at the very founding of Minnesota as a recognized territory.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently replaced our older wood deck with a larger composite deck and couldn't be happier with the results. Phil and the team at WJC Remodeling did an outstanding job transforming our backyard into a beautiful, high-end outdoor space that our family will enjoy.

We received multiple quotes from other builders, and Phil stood out because he helped guide us through the entire process and make the right decisions for our budget without sacrificing quality or design. What impressed us most was the attention to detail and the level of craftsmanship throughout the project. The finished deck looks incredible, and Phil and his team take pride in their work.

The project completely transformed our backyard and gave us a space that feels like an extension of our home. If you're looking for a contractor who delivers high-quality work and truly cares about the finished product, I highly recommend Phil and WJC Remodeling.

For anyone considering a similar project, we chose TimberTech Antique Leather for the main decking with TimberTech Dark Roast as the border. We also added the lighting package and drink rail, which were absolutely worth the upgrade and really elevate the finished look.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. WJC Remodeling did a great job on our deck. Phil, the owner, was honest, kind, and meticulous. He gave us fair pricing with everything we asked for in the price quote, which I appreciated. Other companies gave us the base price for the deck and then sent us the add-ons separately. I wanted to know, bottom-line, what is this going to cost. His guys did a great job building our deck-they were quick, professional, and cleaned up their mess each night and when they were all done. Then Phil came out to inspect everything once it was done and sign off.
