WJC Decks and Remodeling is a family-owned and operated deck builder and remodeling company with more than ten years in business and over 600 completed projects. WJC Decks and Remodeling started because Phil Haluptzok wanted to build something of his own. After years working as a carpenter, Phil grew tired of working for someone else and decided it was time to go out on his own. With his family complete, he set out to build a company that could serve as a legacy for his kids, one project at a time.
Phil has always been drawn to the finished product. There is something about stepping back and looking at a deck, porch, or remodel that wasn’t there the week before and knowing he built it with his own hands. That satisfaction shows up in how our crews approach every project. We take the time to do it right because we want to be proud of what we hand over.
One of Phil’s strengths is turning a homeowner’s rough idea into a real plan. Whether you walk in with a Pinterest board, a napkin sketch, or just a general feeling about how you want your backyard to work, Phil listens, asks the right questions, and helps you shape a clear vision. From there, our team handles the build.
When Phil isn’t on a job site, you’ll find him golfing, out on the 4-wheeler, fishing, or spending time at the lake with family.
